Mr. <br />Herceg will meet with Rick Pitts to discuss <br />alternatives for the fire escape repairs. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Donoho, seconded by <br />Mr, Piasecki and unanimously carried, the <br />Co mission authorized the Board of Public <br />Works to award the base bid alone to Slatile <br />Roofing and Sheet Metal in the amount of <br />$61,360 with the option to purchase the 15 <br />year warranty after the completion of the <br />work. <br />There was no old business. <br />6. Haney <br />Mr. Piasecki questioned the amount charged for <br />the installation of a water heater. <br />Mr. verman stated that the Bureau of Housing <br />guid lines for the Emergency Repair Program <br />allo for the ratification of a bid within 200 <br />of tie Bureau cost estimate. In this case <br />Slut ky -Peltz is within the 20% of the Bureau <br />estinate. Mr. Leverman stated that the Bureau <br />staff is in the process of updating their cost <br />book that will include a lower cost estimate <br />for ater heater installation for 30 gallon <br />unit . <br />Mr. iasecki recommended that the staff review <br />the Bureau guidelines to determine if there is <br />a ne to revise the 20% estimate guideline. <br />COMMISSION AUTHORIZED THE <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS TO <br />AWARD THE BASE BID ALONE TO <br />SLATILE ROOFING AND SHEET <br />METAL IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$61,360 WITH THE OPTION TO <br />PURCHASE THE 15 YEAR WARRANTY <br />AFTER THE COMPLETION OF THE <br />WORK <br />THERE WAS NO OLD BUSINESS <br />$424.86 <br />
