NEW <br />a <br />h. <br />:nd Pedevelopment <br />Commission <br />Meeting <br />- February 14, 1986 <br />BUSINESS <br />(Cont.) <br />alproval requested for Resolution <br />CcwAssion <br />No. <br />769 approving the fair re -use value of <br />land <br />in the South Bend Central Development <br />Area. <br />Kolata pointed out on a map the parcels <br />Mrs <br />in <br />estion located within the East Bank. <br />There <br />are two parcels of land being put up fo. <br />bid <br />The first one is located at the corner <br />of <br />Washington and Niles which is the former <br />Luther <br />Beverage site containing 26,175 square <br />feet. <br />The re -use valuation is $55,675.00 <br />which <br />will be the minimum offering price. Thy <br />proposed <br />re -use is considered general <br />development <br />which mean specifications will sa: <br />that <br />the primary purpose of that land is <br />residential, <br />however, the Commission will als, <br />accept <br />bids for supporting facilities that <br />co <br />lement the residential character of the <br />neighborhood. <br />The other parcel is a small <br />strip <br />of land between Niles Avenue and <br />property <br />along the East Race sold to Richard <br />L. <br />Blank that was not included in the origina <br />bid <br />It is approximately 11' wide and is the <br />length <br />of the Blank property. At the time <br />that <br />the Blank parcel was put up for bid, it <br />was <br />anticipated that Niles Avenue would be <br />widened <br />to allow angle parking. The plans fa <br />Niles <br />Avenue have been revised which will <br />allow <br />the 11' strip to be put up for bid. Th <br />property <br />has 4,509 square feet and the minimw <br />offering <br />price is $2,825.00. A residential <br />bid <br />will only be allowed. <br />Upoii <br />a motion made by Ms. Auburn, seconded by <br />Mr. <br />Combs and unanimously carried, the <br />Corartission <br />approved Resolution No. 769 <br />approving <br />the fair re -use value of land in th <br />South <br />Bend Central Development Area. <br />Corffiission <br />authorization r ested to publish <br />Notice <br />of Intended Sale of Disposition Parcel <br />No. <br />E9 -11, E3 -3A and E3 -4A in the South Bend <br />Central <br />Devel2pmnt Area with publication <br />dates <br />to be February 21, 1986, and February <br />28, <br />1986, and receipt of bids to be at 10:00 <br />a.m. <br />on March 10, 1986. <br />-12- <br />COMMISSION APPROVED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 769 APPROVING <br />THE FAIR RE-USE VALUE OF <br />LAND IN THE SOUTH BEND <br />CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT AREA <br />
