Mayor Pete <br /> Buttigieg will greet those in attendance and the forum will be hosted and moderated by <br /> Robert Stewart, an associate with the Strategic Policy Partnership. <br /> "This is a terrific opportunity for local residents to share the qualities and attributes they <br /> would like to see in the next police chief," said Mayor Pete Buttigieg. "The information <br /> gathered at the forum will help guide the process toward the candidates best suited to <br /> serve our community and build relationships of trust." <br /> The town hall will be held on Thursday, October 4th at the Kroc Center, located at 900 W. <br /> Western Avenue in South Bend. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the event will start at <br /> 6:00 p.m. <br /> Robert Stewart is an accomplished law enforcement professional and executive,having <br /> served in a variety of high-profile positions in his distinguished career. He was the <br /> interim police director in Camden,N.J. and has also served as the Executive Director of <br /> NOBLE (National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives.)His resume is <br /> attached to this release. <br /> The public hearing is open to the public.
