<br /> Dear Council Members:
<br /> Please find attached for filing, an ordinance appropriating
<br /> $66,060.00 within the E.M.S. Fund #288 for the purchase of
<br /> certain equipment that has become necessary within the Fire
<br /> Department. Funds are available and the appropriations are as
<br /> follows:
<br /> 1. Fire Station Air Compressor $ 22,300.00
<br /> 2. Replace Boat I 17,500.00
<br /> 3. Lease Purchase Payment (Eng.3) 26,260.00
<br /> TOTAL $ 66,060.00
<br /> This request is for three (3) purchases. The first is for a
<br /> scheduled lease purchase payment on a fire truck. The second is
<br /> for emergency spending that was budgeted for 1994 for the
<br /> replacement of our Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (S.C.B.A. )
<br /> air compressor. The third is for an unforeseen circumstance
<br /> which is that our main boat is currently out of service and is
<br /> not in the best interests of the City to make additional
<br /> repairs. The boat is approximately 11 years old.
