Donaldson and unanimously carried, the <br />Comnission approved proposals and grants in <br />the connection with Emergency Repair Program <br />as Listed above. <br />..e . .�. <br />Neil Gilbert from South Bend Heritage <br />Foundation reported that they are applying to <br />various national foundations to begin a <br />Committee Organizing Program and if funded <br />they will hire a new staff person that will <br />serve as a community representative in the <br />Near West Side Neighborhood. The <br />representative will help develop and <br />coordinate activities, and stimulate <br />neighborhood participation of residents and <br />merchant- s that live in the neighborhood with <br />particular focus on the Chapin Street <br />district. <br />Mrs. Ko ata reported that the real estate <br />closing was held on the Mill Race property <br />earlier today. She also reported that Plast <br />Ad has Eubmitted plans for of 20,000 s .f . <br />expansion at their Monroe Park site. The <br />plans w'll be considered by the Design Review <br />Committ e next week. <br />8.
