Commission a <br />men <br />Mrs. Ann Kolata, Deputy Director <br />Ms. Denise Sullivan, Executive Secretary <br />oval requested for rental agree - <br />Chevrolet Corporation. <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that Gates Chevrolet Corporation <br />has requested to rent a portion of the parking lot <br />own ad by Redevelopment at the corner of Washington <br />and Michigan for a three day car and truck sale. <br />The sale would take place Thursday, Friday, and <br />Sat rday but the rental agreement would begin at <br />6:0 p.m. Wednesday evening in order to have an <br />opp rtunity to put the cars and trucks into the <br />par ing lot. The request is in compliance within <br />our guidelines set up for temporary rental of the <br />lot. We also have a letter from Center City Assoc - <br />iat s in which they indicate that they are in favor <br />of renting half of the lot for the three (3) day <br />period. <br />In the guidelines, the rental of the lot is for <br />$10).00 a day. Since Gates is only renting half <br />the lot we have asked that they submit a check in <br />the amount of $50.00 per day. That check is here <br />as Nell as a $100.00 deposit which will be refunded <br />if he lot is returned in good condition. We also <br />hav proof of insurance as required by the guide - <br />lin s. <br />The -e was some discussion concerning the short time <br />period between the request and the date of the sale. <br />The Commissioners asked that the program be evaluated <br />aft r the sale to determine the effect of the event <br />on the downtown merchants and to set requirements <br />
