®CITY OF SOUTH BEND OFFICE OF THE CLERK <br /> Bill No. 41-19- Proposed 2020 Mayor Salary Ordinance <br /> Bill No. 42-19- Re-Affirmation of <br /> the Annual Pay and Monetary Fringe Benefits for the South Bend Police Department <br /> Dan Parker, City Controller with offices on the 12th floor of this building stated, Yes. So, Bill No. <br /> 41-19 raises the Mayor's salary by two percent(2%) in 2020 from $110, 885 in 2019 to $115,103 <br /> dollars in 2020. <br /> Committee Chair Karen White opened the floor for anyone from the public wishing to speak in <br /> favor or opposition to Bill No.41-19. Seeing none, Committee Chair Karen White opened the floor <br /> back to the Committee for a vote. <br /> Committee Chair Karen White made a motion to send Bill No. 41-19 to the full Council with a <br /> favorable recommendation. The motion was seconded by Committeemember Jo M. Broden and <br /> carried with a voice vote of three(3) ayes. <br /> Bill No. 42-19- Re-Affirmation of the Annual Pay and Monetary Fringe Benefits for the <br /> South Bend Police Department <br /> Dan Parker, City Controller with offices on the 12th floor of this building stated, Bill No. 42-19 is <br /> a reaffirmation of an ordinance that was passed in 2016 following negotiations with the FOP, the <br /> (Fraternal Order of Police), and that negotiation sets an agreement for four(4) years and will be <br /> effective until the end of 2020. <br /> Committee Chair Karen White opened the floor for anyone from the public wishing to speak in <br /> favor or opposition to Bill No.42-19. Seeing none,Committee Chair Karen White opened the floor <br /> back to the Committee for a vote. <br /> Committemember Jo M. Broden made a motion to send Bill No. 42-19 to the full Council with a <br /> favorable recommendation. The motion was seconded by Committeemember Jake Teshka and <br /> carried with a voice vote of three(3) ayes. <br /> Bill No. 43-19- Re-Affirmation of the Annual Pay and Monetary Fringe Benefits for the <br /> South Bend Fire Department <br /> Dan Parker, City Controller with offices on the 12th floor of this building stated, Bill No. 43-19 is <br /> a reaffirmation of the monetary pay and fringe benefits for South Bend Firefighters following <br /> negotiations. The ordinance was passed in October of 2017, and it's effective through the end of <br /> 2021. Nothing has changed in the prior years. <br /> Committee Chair Karen White opened the floor for anyone from the public wishing to speak in <br /> favor or opposition to Bill No.43-19.
