McBride, Gavin Ferlic <br /> Others Present: Graham Sparks <br /> Presenters: Denise Riedl, Dan Parker, Kyra Clark, Stephanie Steele, <br /> Matt Chlebowski <br /> Agenda: Innovation and Technology <br /> Administration and Finance <br /> Human Resources <br /> Legal Department <br /> Committee Chair Karen White called to order the Personnel and Finance Committee meeting at <br /> 5:36 p.m. She introduced members of the Committee and proceeded to give the floor to the <br /> presenters. <br /> Innovation and Technology <br /> Denise Linn Riedl, Chief Innovation Officer for the City of South Bend with offices located on <br /> the 12th floor of the County-City Building, stated, I will take this opportunity to give a brief <br /> overview of the structure of our department and the different teams that are in Innovation and <br /> Technology. There are six (6) main teams that are in Innovation and Technology. We have the <br /> Services team and that's in charge of Help Desk functions and hardware for the City of South Bend. <br /> Also,vendor relationships. We have our Infrastructure team that maintains our City network. That <br /> also includes free City Wi-Fi hotspots that exist across the City. We have our Application <br /> Development team, they're chiefly in charge of securing software solutions for the City and <br /> customizing them and implementing with departments. We have our Business Analytics team that <br /> works in tandem with the Applications Development team. They're in charge of process <br /> improvements in innovation that the software is built on top of.
