NEW BUSINESS (continued <br />d. continued... <br />hou es were covered on previous contracts but the <br />tim limit has expired, and so a new contract is <br />nec ssary. <br />Mr. McManus explained that the first home to be moved <br />is zt 702 South Rush. It is going to be moved to a <br />dou le lot on Clinton Street by Mark Willemin who is <br />goi g to live in the home. He has secured the land <br />and permits and his home is ready to be lifted. The <br />pla was to lift it today and to move it early next <br />wee . <br />The second home is a duplex at 704 -706 Rush. That is <br />goi g to be moved a block north on Rush Street by Greg <br />Ric ards. He is intending to live in one -half of the <br />duplex and renting out the other half. We should be <br />ready to begin preparations on it almost immediately. <br />The third home to be moved is at 710 South Columbia <br />Str et. That is going to be moved to the corner of <br />South and Fellows by a developer named Greg Burnside. <br />He is going to move the home and rehab it, and we <br />alr ady have at least three parties interested in pur- <br />cha ing the home. He has not secured his properties <br />yet, but that should happen within a matter of days. <br />We have three other homes which we also hope to move, <br />located at 718 South Carroll, 707 South Marietta and <br />316 East Bronson Street. <br />Ms. Derbeck asked if there has been any interest shown <br />in new construction. <br />Mr. McManus stated that Southold has been talking to <br />many people about ideas on new construction, and has <br />seen some favorable response, but this is only in the <br />preliminary stages. <br />Ms. erbeck asked.if the fact that Southold Heritage <br />is t lking the people into doing this has had an im- <br />pact on the attitudes of the people that live there. <br />Mr. <br />posi <br />end <br />proj <br />not <br />McManus replied that it definitely has had a <br />;ive impact.
