The pro )osed use of the property after redevelopment will be light manufacturing. The completed project will contain a total of 21,391 square feet under roof, plus sita development and landscaping. The project will cre to 17 new, permanent jobs, representing a new pay- roll of $270,000. In terms of benefit to the com- munity, vacant property in a deteriorated condition will be redeveloped and a viable business will be lo- cat d on the subject real estate. We feel that it is con istent with our intentions with respect to the typ of business we are attempting to attract to the Mon oe- Sample area. It is noted that the taxes to be pail over the first ten years amount to $76,241 (after aba ement), and the amount abated is $74,732 over that sam period. Mr. Brian Montgomery introduced himself as being a representative of Plast -Ad, Inc., and stated that he had nothing further to add to Mr. McMahon's comments about the tax abatement request. Upon a motion made by Mr. Piasecki, seconded by Mr. TAX ABATEMENT REQUEST Donaldson and unanimously carried, the tax abatement FOR 606 EAST BRONSON request for 606 East Bronson Street (P.A.I. Properties) STREET (P.A.I. PROPERTIES) was approved. WAS APPROVED Ms. Auburn abstained from voting due to a conflict of int rest. Mr. Piasecki brought to the attention of the Commission the fact that he owns property on St. Joseph Street in the Monroe- Sample area and inquired whether this would pre ent a conflict of interest when items pertaining to his area were before the Commission for action and ask d Mr. Butler to advise him in this regard. Mr. wit per dif Butler indicated that there would not be a conflict i respect to this particular item on the agenda, but laps there might be a conflict from time to time as =erent situations occur. 4
