Price...4457.00. <br />Petitions filed and granted asking for permission to do by private contract <br />the .grading and curbing of Smith street, Sixth street, and Linden avenue through the <br />Smith and Howollelladdddit i on. <br />Plat of Fred Wo Kellers Sub-div. of Lots 16,17,182 and 32 Burroughs add. approved. <br />Petitions filed for a sewer on Howard street from Notre Dame ave* to the river; <br />also for sidewalks on Howard street from Notre Dame avenue to Leeper avenue. <br />The Engineer was inttructed to investigate the property lines at Portage ave.. <br />and Rex street, at lot 34, s.e.corner, and have same changed to correspond with the inter- <br />secting streets. <br />Communication from the L.S.& M.S. asking that <br />High street crossing but 32' in width and that they be <br />the west side onle, was taken under advisement. <br />................SPECIAL MEETING, 10-27,1903. <br />they be permitted to plank their <br />permitted to run a sidewalk along <br />President. <br />7:15 P.M............ <br />Hearing given on the assessment roll and final estimates for the improvements <br />on Linden avenue(145), Linden avenue (144)9 Sadie street (146)0 Dayton street (121), <br />Olive street (147) and St. Joseph street (133). <br />I n- the matter of the improvements by cement walks and curbs on Linden ave. (145 ) <br />curbing and walks on Linden ave(144)9 Grading, curbs and walks on Sadie street (146), and <br />grading curbing and cement walks on Dayton street (121); no remonstrants appeared and no <br />remonstrances were filed. The Board find that the property assesed in said roils is <br />benefited in the amount of the assessments as shown on said rolls, and that the assess- <br />ment rolls filed on the 10th. day o_ October, and the Final estimate allowed on the <br />loth. day of October, should be and the same are hereby in all things ratffied, confirmed <br />approved. <br />In the matter of the Grade, curbadn walks on St. Joseph street (133), and ,the <br />same on'Olive street (147).-the hearings were postponed until Friday A:.a. Oct. 30th, 1903. <br />Geo. Barnhardt remonstrated against the buldge in his sidewalk just north of Washington <br />streetq on Olive street. C. Soens remonstrated against the improvement on St.Joseplg <br />street for the reason that the grading along said street and his property in particular <br />had not been done.
