-10 Tuesday ........ Sep+. let, 1903.. The ?hoard of Public Works met in regular session in the office of the Board at 10 A. M: Mr. Papezyinsei_n being .tile Only a'ase-rte--�. Routine business required the attention of the Board for some time, after the consideration of same the Board adjourned into executive session. ----- Pre s. TUESDAY EVE. SEPT. 1 st. 1903. The Board met in special session in the office of the Board at 7:15 P.M., all members being present. The Board having up for consideration and final hearing the Assessment Rolls and Final Estimates for the Grade, Curb and Walk on Indiana Ave. from Miami to Leer; E. Navarre from Michigan street to the east line of Lot 60 in 'H. & W. Addition; also, for the pipe sewer on E. La Salle from Alley east of St. Pete to Eddy street. All under Improvement Resolutions 122,1329123 respectively. In the matter of the fie, Curb and Walk on Indiana ave. and the pipe sewer on E. La Salle ave. No remonstrants appeared and no remonstrantes were filed. The Board find that the property assessed in said rolls is benefited in the amount of the assessments shown on said roll and that the Assessment Rolls filed Aug 21, 1903, and the Final Estimates allowed Aug. 21, 1903, should be and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. In the matter of the Grade, Curb and Walk on E. Navarre st., Geo Rochstroh appeared and remonstrated agiihst the amount of his assessment. The Board postponed the hearing on said improvement until Tuesday Eve. Sept. 8th, 1903. Hearing given on the Declaratory Resolutions for the following street improvement Pipe Sewers on Portage avenue, Bartlett st and St. Joseph st, Marion Boulevard and Navarre st, Calvert st. and Catalpa avenue,.Monroe street, E. LaSalle avenue, Bridge, Sycamore and Colfax ave, and the brick pavement of the alleys south of Jefferson St. all under Improvement resolutions nos. 154, 1559 1569 1539 1529 1512 150 respectively. The Engineer filed his estimated cost of the improvements as follows: Portage ave. $10500.00 Bartlett and St. Joseph. 4400.00 Marion Boulevard and Navarre st. 3100.00 Calvert St. & Catalpa ave. 4200.00 Monroe st. 1850.00 E. LaSalle.Sycamore & Bridge, 4900.00 Alley Brick south of Jefferson 1375,00 No remonstrants appeared and no rei=Lonstrances were filed. The Board find in each and every case in said improvements that the benef!i s to the property anu to the City of South Bend are equal to the estimated cost of the improvements and that said Declaratory Resolutions are hereby confirmed and approved. Meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M. President.
