Friday, July 24th, 1903.. <br />Engineer reported grades on Bartlett street, Michigan avenue and Hammond Court. <br />Same were approved. <br />Hearing on the Assessment Roll and Final Estimate for Grade and Curb on La <br />Fayette street under Improvement Resolution # 103. No remonstrants appearec.and <br />no remonstrances were filed. The Engineer reported that he had investigated the <br />objections raised by the property owners at the previous hearing and found the work <br />done accoruing to t_tle plans sec- -ications. Resolved by the Low t ::he <br />l <br />Assessment Roll fil my llth. and the Final Estimate allowed July llth. should <br />be and. the is hereby in all things confirmed and approved. <br />Hearing on the Assessment Roll and Final.Estimate for the Brick Pavement on <br />Madison street under Improvement Resolution +111. No remonstrants appeared and <br />no remonstrances were filed. The Engineer reported changes in the Assessment <br />Roll as followsHeirs of Jacob Kopf viz;- Barbara Kopf (widow) Charles, George, <br />Peter and Sadie Kopf rebated27.20. William Harlin Jr. rebated13.12. The <br />City of South Bend increased $40.32. Changes as recommended were approved.tLw <br />Resolved by the Board that the Assessment Roll filed July llth, and the Final <br />Estimate allowed July llth, 1903, should be and the same is hereby in all thing <br />ratified and approved. <br />Hearing on <br />the <br />Milton <br />Street <br />walks and curb under <br />Improvement Resolution postpone. <br />until Tuesday <br />A. :. <br />Duly <br />3 t"i <br />0, 0 3 . <br />Engineer instructed to prepare plans and specifications for pipe sewer on Calvert <br />street and Catalpa avenue. <br />Hearing on Condemnation Resolution #11. Messers Shively, Rohrer and Fisher <br />appeared and remonstrated against said condemnation for the reasons that said improv <br />ment is not needed. After due consideration the Board -ind that said resolution <br />should be confirmeu auk that the following described property should be and is here- <br />by appropriated and condemned for said improvement."The center line of said street <br />to begin on the north line of Indiana avenue in said City at a point 88-3/10 west <br />of the present center line of May street thence running north to the southwesterly <br />line -of Lot 12 in Jacob Leers survey in the N.W. Quarter os Section 18, Twp. 37, <br />N.R.3 E., thnce running north easterly at right angles to Vistula avenue to the <br />southwesterly line of said Vistula:_auenue. The west line of said May street to be <br />25 feet west, and the east line thereof to be 25 feet east of the above described <br />center line. <br />The following described property is affected by these proceedings: <br />All ex. 1 ft* of e.side and ex. 50 ft.
