NEW BUSINESS (continued) <br />a. continued ... <br />with respect to the other offices, to indicate that <br />the primary incentive for building there is not tax <br />abatement or the possibility for tax abatement, but <br />the proximity to the hospital. As a result, the <br />recommendation followed as it was presented. <br />Ms. Auburn asked Mr. Primus for the original purchase <br />date of the property and why Dr. Primus did not come <br />forward for the tax abatement when she applied for <br />the Economic Development Bonds. <br />Mr. Primus stated that when application was made <br />for the Economic Development Bonds they were not <br />aware of the tax abatement program. It was only <br />after the closing on the property that this was <br />brought to our attention. The purchase date of <br />the property was September, 1980. <br />On i motion by Ms. Auburn, seconded by Mr. Cira and COMMISSION RECOMMENDS TAX <br />una imously carried, the Commission approved the staff ABATEMENT NOT BE APPROVED <br />rep rt to not recommend tax abatement for the property FOR 121 -127 NORTH ST.
