The City brought
in a th rd party to evaluate the problem, outside of the
contrac ors and designer involved. The problem is cor-
rectabl in that it relates to a situation which was
physically created at a particular column and not anti-
cipated. The solution will not require any major modi-
ficatior to the structure or the areas that we will be
working in to make the necessary reinforcements and re-
place tat column. Tortion occurred to the column when
soil wa being loaded into planters. We have also asked
the designer , Murphy /Jahn, to go through the entire struc-
ture to reconfirm their structural analysis and to in-
vestigate any other areas that might have deficiencies.
9.
