Commission approval requested for Assignment of Ground <br />Lease related t0'the First Bank Center Project. <br />Mr. McMahon explained that First Bank is requesting an <br />assignment of their ground lease with the Department <br />of Redevelopment as required by the permanent financing <br />of the bank portion of the First Bank Center project. <br />This has been anticipated and the documents have been <br />app oved by HUD. <br />COMMISSION APPROVED SOUTH <br />BEND HOME IMPROVEMENT LOAN <br />AND SECTION 312 LOAN PRO- <br />GRAM CONTRACTS AS RECOM- <br />MENDED BY BUREAU OF HOUSING <br />Mr. Robinson made a motion to consent and agree to the <br />Assignment of Ground Lease, and authorizing the Presi- <br />dent and Secretary to sign any related documents, sub COMMISSION APPROVED ASSIGN- <br />ject to legal counsel review and approval. PROGRESIS REPORTS <br />Mr. McM hon reported that the ordinance revising tax abate- <br />ment pr cedures will be considered by the Common Council on <br />April 13th. <br />Mr. McMahon introduced a new member of the staff, Christal <br />Jo Taylor. <br />Mr. McMahon explained that Dorothy Deane, Redevelopment ' <br />Auditor, has retired and it is necessary to enter into a <br />contract with her for some part -time work. <br />Mr. Donaldson made a motion to approve a Consulting Agree- COMMISSION APPROVED CONSULT - <br />ment with Dorothy Deane, subject to legal review. The ING AGREEMENT WITH DOROTHY <br />motion as seconded by Mr. Robinson and unanimously carried DEANE <br />The Commissioners thanked Dorothy Deane for her 17 years of <br />service with the Department. Mayor Parent and former Re- <br />development Director Charles Lennon also commended Dorothy <br />for her dedication and hard work. <br />6 <br />
