He wanted to know <br />wh1v there was a delay in awarding the bid for sid- <br />ind and insulation. <br />Mr McMahon and Mrs. Baumgartner explained that the <br />Commission has adopted a policy that requires the <br />Bureau of Housing to notify all contractors, inform- <br />ino them of homeowners who are in the process of <br />ge ting bid proposals. That is the reason for the <br />de ay. <br />8. PROGRESS REPORTS <br />Mr. McMahon stated that he has met with the Common Council <br />on a number of occasions with respect to tax abatement and <br />an ordinance amending the tax abatement procedures will be <br />introduced through a late filing for Monday's meeting. <br />Mr. McMahon reported that as a follow -up to the complaint <br />of Mr. Brown a few weeks ago, the Bureau of Housing has <br />initiated the process whereby all contractors are notified <br />of homeowners accepting proposals. Secondly, Mr. Brown's <br />other complaint was about an incident over a year earlier <br />and he is satisfied with the existing inspectors. <br />29 <br />COMMISSION APPROVED CHANGE <br />ORDER NO. 2 FOR AARDVARK <br />CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR <br />$255.00 INCREASE IN CON- <br />TRACT PRICE FOR 743 SOUTH <br />MEADE STREET <br />
