Mr. Nimtz continues... <br />talked <br />about, but I don't want you to give his <br />name <br />publicly here, but either to Mr. McMahon or <br />myself. <br />I want to emphasize to you that these <br />two <br />contracts this morning, these people are borrow- <br />ing <br />the money and they have to repay it. If they <br />don't <br />then the government agency steps in and repays <br />it and <br />so if the person is borrowing the money and <br />it is <br />his money, all he has to do is get two pro- <br />posals <br />as to the work being done. <br />Mr. <br />Brown: Do you think it is fair when an in- <br />spector <br />will point out, "hey, don't use this guy "? <br />Mr. <br />Nimtz: No, it isn't fair and we will look into <br />it. <br />Mr. <br />Cira made a motion to award contracts in con- COMMISSION AWARDED CONTRACTS <br />nection <br />with the South Bend Home Improvement Loan FOR 416 S. GRAM <br />Commission <br />approval requested for an amendment to the <br />for Professional Services" with Territorial <br />"Agreement <br />Enqineerinq. <br />Mr. McMahon: Item 6(d) is a request to amend the con- <br />tract that we have had with Territorial Engineering. <br />They are doing the survey work in the Monroe- Sample <br />area and this adds five parcels to the list to be <br />surveyed at a cost of $110.00 per parcel. <br />Mrs. Kolata: 14hen they submitted their bid before <br />the looked at all of the parcels that we were going <br />to ave surveyed and figured out what the.cost was <br />and then added.them up and came up with the average <br />cost per lot. These parcels require more time and, <br />the efore, they are asking for a slight increase. <br />Mr. Cira: Do you recall that all of the other par- <br />cel were $85? <br />Mrs Kolata: No, they were $75. <br />Mr. <br />Cira: They all were the same though? <br />25 <br />
