PROGRAM <br /> OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN: THE. <br /> CITY OF SOUTH' S= <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> The government of the City of South Bend, in partnership <br /> with the City' s private sector and residents, is. committed to the <br /> goal of improving the. "quality of life" in the City, its <br /> neighborhoods, and for its residents. As part of this commitment <br /> to a comprehensive community development and improvement program, <br /> the City of South. Bend has committed One Million Dollars <br /> ( $1,000,000) from the General. Fund' s cash reserves to fund public. <br /> improvements. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SOUTH BEND AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section I. The sum of One Million. Dollars ( $1,000,000) <br /> shall be and hereby is appropriated for use in 1394 from the <br /> General Fund' s cash reserves, to Account No. 101-0401-415-42.07, <br /> and allocated for the indicated projects: <br /> Project Amount <br /> 1. Neighborhood Public Works $650,000. 00 <br /> 2. Neighborhood Parks $100,000.00 <br /> 3. Partnership Centers $ 50,000.00 <br /> 4. NBD Loan Program, Non-CDBG $ 75,000.00 <br /> 5. Community Planning - $ 25,000.00 <br /> Special Projects <br /> 6. Youth/Police Recreation $ 50,000.00 <br /> 7 .
