South Bend Redevelopment Commission
Regular Me ting - June 20, 1980
6. NEW BUSINESS (continued)
e. Coirmission approval requested for
Resolution #616 (LaSalle Park -Ind. R- 57) ....
Pa cel # Name Amount
37' of 17 -18 Mary E. Barnes $4.00
17 -19, 17 -21 314 S. Kentucky
4-12, 4 -13, Eurena McDaniel $5.00
4-14, 4 -15, 2613 Holland
4- 6, 4 -17,
4- 8
Mrs. Kolata: This resolution is related to Phase I
of our LaSalle Park Disposition Plan. I would
Me to ask Ms. Bathon to comment on the sale of
these parcels.
Ms. Bathon: Several of the people who have put
in an application to purchase lots have purchased
several lots, that explains the difference in
prices. All of these people are adjoining
pr erty owners, therefore, they are eligible
to purchase these lots. There are 65 lots
which have been sold to approximately 20 to
30 DeoDle.
Mr.1 Nimtz: Do we still have some prospects?
Mrs. Kolata:. This is Phase I of our disposition
plan, which provided for sale of lots to adjoining
property owners. Phase II will take place in
July, and will be opened to anyone who lives
within the LaSalle Park project area boundaries.
Mr. Nimtz: Ms. Bathon, how many lots do we
have left, approximately?
Ms.l Bathon: About 60 lots left.
Mr. Nimtz: As I recall most of these lots were
so mall that you couldn't build on them. There
was not enough square footage.
Ms. Bathon: The lots are, on the average, 40 ft.
wide. We are encouraging the sale of more than
one lot so the owner will be able to build if
thev want to.
-7-
