South Bend R development Commission
Regular Meet ng - December 19, 1980
7. NEW BUSINESS
a. continued...
1
Name
Mr. McMahon: The plan makes provision for review
of a 1 of the development in the East Bank Area,
just like the downtown area. We will have a Design
Review Committee to review the project.
Mr. imtz: Mr. Butler, I believe this is the first
Reso ution that has been adopted concerning any Re-
development where there hasn't been any objections,
is that right?
Mr. Sutler: Since I've been here, that is correct.
Comm ssion approval requested for awardi
tracts in connection with the HUD Audit
Actiflty Program, in accordance with rec
tion of the Bureau of Housing.
Nettie Murph
1417 E. Mine Street
Shirley Walk6r
820 Diamond venue
of con -
ean -U
menda-
Contractor Amount
Stateside Construction $833.00
Charles Brown Mainten- 210.00
ance Co.
Mr. McMahon; Kathy, would you outline these please?
Mrs. Baumgartner: I would like to make this clear.
If you notice, there is only one estimate. This is
not contrary to the Commission's request at their
last meeting, this is the normal procedure that we
follow with the HUD Clean -Up. These were items
that contractors were scheduled to do at an earlier
time under the initial contract a year or two ago.
Sinc that time it has been determined that the
cont actors were not responsible for those parti-
cula items and they were deleted from the contract.
We hive already done a clean -up contract on both
of t ese homes, yet these items remain as code
viol tions and need to be corrected. For that
reas n we went back to the contractor who did the
clea -up work and got an estimate from them.
On M'ner Street it involves exterior painting of
the ouse, and on Diamond Street we replace two
exte for doors and a storm combination.
