South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - December 5, 1980 <br />Mr. Nimt� continues... <br />diligent in their efforts and do a good job. I <br />certainly would like to say, in light of the Mlish- <br />awaka ex erience, that we have had differences with <br />the Mayor at various times but we settle those dif- <br />ferences as time goes by. We have had no problems <br />with May )r Parent. There has always been a friendly <br />feeling, there has been no upheaval or changing of <br />personnel, everybody does the job they are expected <br />to do. <br />The Chan�anuary announces that our next annual meeting <br />will be 2, 1981, at 10:00 a.m. <br />4. COMMUNICATIONS <br />Mr. McMa on: We have one important communication <br />from the Governor's Office, and Mr. Kagel will be <br />taking c re of that. <br />Mr. Kage : I want you to know that while fir. Nimtz <br />and I were in and out of the Governor's Office yester- <br />day, he qas not aware of this little surprise andwe <br />were hoping that members of the staff would not say <br />anything to him about it before hand. <br />On behal of Governor Bowen, we are presenting to <br />you the iighest award that the Governor of the State <br />can pres nt to an individual. This is for your out- <br />standing work on the Governor's Annual Downtown Con - <br />ference or which you served on the Steering Committee, <br />the Coun it of the Sagamores of the Wabash. <br />Mr. Nimt : Thank you, John. This is quite an honor <br />and I do appreciate this recognition and this honor. <br />I think ou have done half the work associated with <br />the Conf rence.
