They <br />ha <br />e reauested a non - profit grant in the amount of <br />$9,924, <br />the maximum being $10,000, to repair the <br />ho Re <br />at 525 East Dubail. I might add that Mr. Johi <br />Hill, <br />who is Executive Director of Renew, Inc., is <br />here <br />and perhaps he would like to say something. <br />Mr. <br />Hill: This is a home on the south side. As yi <br />know, <br />we have done a lot of work over there. The <br />Bureau <br />Inspectors have seen the house and it is of <br />ve <br />y good construction and we want to work with <br />Ro <br />ald Griffin and his family, who will be purchas, <br />inc <br />this house eventually, after it has been re- <br />ha <br />ilitated through Renew, Inc, Renew now -has a <br />recorded <br />Warranty Deed on the house. <br />Mr. <br />Cira: How do you base the selling price on the <br />hones? <br />Mr. <br />Hill: The selling price is based on a lot of <br />things. <br />It is based on the income of the family. <br />ThE <br />people go out and look for a house. This <br />fa <br />ily selected this house. They know what they <br />car <br />afford. Usually we tell them that they have <br />to <br />look for something that would require slightly <br />less <br />than a fourth of their monthly income, becaus <br />we <br />don't want them to strain at all to make a montl <br />pa,ment. <br />In this case, after it has been rehabil t <br />to <br />ed, the house will be sold to the family for <br />17 <br />�r <br />)u <br />?se <br />Ily <br />
