That is <br />primarily <br />the largest change in <br />the <br />entire plan and it allows <br />for <br />the park in front of the <br />Mo <br />is Civic Auditorian to remain <br />as <br />en space. The next change <br />is <br />der Physical Organization <br />in <br />ea C. A reference is deleted <br />can <br />erning a bo.tel and commercial <br />theatre <br />to be developed in that <br />block. <br />We also make a reference <br />to <br />the small generally triangular <br />tra <br />t of land in the northeast <br />qua <br />Irant of the area which is <br />developed <br />as a park, and to the <br />sou <br />est quadrant of the area <br />whi <br />2h will remain open space <br />to <br />be developed as a park. We <br />hava <br />taken out certain state- <br />men--s <br />relating to pedestrian <br />ri <br />t -of -way, to the commercial <br />the3.tre, <br />and reference to the <br />res <br />aurant facility. All of <br />the <br />wording changes have to <br />do <br />with the basic change of <br />kee <br />ing that land as open space. <br />The next changes begin on page 5 <br />under Area "C ". A few words have <br />beea inserted to allow for retail/ <br />service commercial. Under "physical <br />org 'zation" we have made a modi- <br />ficEttion in that the plan originally <br />sal "the physical organization of <br />thi3 area will be modified by the <br />clo3ing of Michigan Street between <br />Way e Street and Colfax". We have <br />ame ded that to say "between Wayne <br />Str Bet and Washington ". In effect, <br />mans that Michigan Street will <br />be Dpen between Washington and Colfax, <br />and this is compatible with the plans <br />for the First Bank Center Project. In <br />fact, the access to the garage will be <br />off of Michigan Street so it is essential <br />-5- <br />
