NEW BW INESS <br />g. continued... <br />He also likes dealing with the City <br />and will be involved with the City of <br />Indianapolis on their tax incremental <br />issue and is willing to make this <br />particular project his number one <br />pri rity. <br />Mr. Butler: Mr. Hill in your discussions <br />wi Mr. Goemans, did you determine that <br />the e is no non - compete problem? <br />Mr.IHill: We addressed that and there <br />is riot. <br />Mr. Donaldson made a motion that the <br />Executive Director and Legal Counsel of <br />the Redevelopment Department negotiate <br />a contract for professional services <br />with Hanifen, Imhoff, $ Samford, Inc. <br />to act as financial advisor to the <br />Redevelopment Commission in connection <br />with a proposed program of urban <br />redevelopment financing (tax incre- <br />mental financing) and further authorize <br />the Commission President and Secretary <br />to execute said contract, seconded <br />by Mr. Robinson, and the motion was <br />unanimously carried. <br />7. PROGRESSIREPORTS <br />Mr. Ellison: <br />The staff wishes to report to <br />the Commission <br />that the Common Council did <br />pass the <br />ordinance related to controlled use <br />exemption <br />in the East Bank. The staff was <br />rather heavily <br />involved in seeking to get <br />the East <br />Bank exempted from controlled use <br />to encoin,age <br />more intensive development. <br />I might <br />ay that Mrs. Kolata and the <br />staff really <br />carried the "ball" and I owe <br />her a de <br />t of gratitude for the superior <br />fine se <br />ice in getting that most difficult <br />ordinanc <br />through the Area Plan and the <br />Common Council. <br />21 <br />COMMISSION APPROVAL <br />GRANTED FOR EXECUTIVE <br />DIRECTOR AND LEGAL COUNSEL <br />OF REDEVELOPMENT TO NEGO- <br />TIATE A CONTRACT FOR <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES WITH <br />HANIFEN, IMHOFF, & SAMFORD, <br />INC.
