PUBLIC WORKS AND PROPERTY VACATION COMMITTEE <br />The March 24, 2008 meeting of the Public Works and Property Vacation Committee of the South <br />Bend Common Council was called to order by its Chairperson, Council Member David Varner at <br />3:55 p.m. in the Council's Informal Meeting Room. <br />Persons in attendance included David Varner, Chairperson, Derek D. Dieter, Member, Tom <br />LaFountain, Vice-President, Henry Davis, Jr., Member; John Voorde, City Clerk <br />BILL NO. 16-08 <br />Mike Danch, President, Danch, Harner & Associates, 1643 Commerce Drive, South Bend, <br />Indiana, stated that he is working for the City and explained the bill. He stated that it asks for the <br />vacation of 2 alleys on the old Studebaker brownfield site along S. Franklin to allow Transpo to <br />proceed with construction of their new home base. Alley vacation diagram attached. Council <br />Member Dieter made a motion, seconded by Council Member LaFountain that Bill No. 16-08 be <br />recommended favorable to Council.
