I 1. <br />The first meeting of the Community/Campus Advisory Coalition was held in the Council <br />Chambers, 4th Floor County-City Building in downtown South Bend, Indiana, on <br />February 20, 2008. South Bend Council Member At Large AI "Buddy" Kirsits called the <br />meeting to order at approximately 3:10 p.m. <br />Council Member Kirsits welcomed everyone in attendance. Those attending included: <br />South Bend Council President Timothy A. Rouse, South Bend Council Member At Large <br />AI "Buddy" Kirsits, South Bend 4th District Council Member Ann Puzzello, South Bend <br />Mayor Stephen J. Luecke, Robinson Center Adult Program Coordinator Marguerite <br />Taylor, South Bend Code Enforcement Director Catherine Toppel, Mark Kramer <br />representing landlords of off-campus housing, South Bend Council Attorney Kathleen <br />Cekanski-Farrand, IU South Bend Student Body President Ivan D. Blount, University of <br />Notre Dame Student Body President Liz Brown, University of Notre Dame Assistant <br />Vice-President Office of VP Student Affairs M. Brian Coughlin, University of Notre Dame <br />Associate Vice-President Resident Life, William W. Kirk, Richard A. Nussbaum II <br />Esquire, South Bend Assistant City Attorney Ann-Carol Nash, University of Notre Dame <br />Vice-President of Student Affairs Father Mark L. Poorman, C.S.C., University of Notre <br />Dame Vice-President and General Counsel Carol C. Kaesebier, South Bend Tribune <br />Reporter Margaret Fosmoe, South Bend City Clerk John Voorde, incoming University of <br />Notre Dame Student Body President Bob Reish, members of the news media and <br />unidentified members of the public. <br />Council Member Kirsits, Council President Rouse and Mayor Luecke then formally <br />welcomed everyone to the meeting. <br />Council Member Kirsits provided copies of the one-page agenda (copy on file) which <br />would govern the meeting. He noted that the South Bend ordinance which created the <br />CCAC provides for atwenty-one (21) person membership. He noted that currently <br />there are six (6) vacancies on the CCAC,which he anticipates will be filled shortly. <br />Council Member Kirsits then called upon South Bend City Clerk John Voorde to <br />administer the oath to the members of the CCAC who were present. <br />
