a�u 18.1902 Pet ition.for the establishment of grades for the Portage Land.Company referred to the Engineer • Remonstrances filed against the construction of cement sidewalks on Burroughs Street from Michigan Avenue to -Mari -on Street. Permission granted to J.D.Oliver to raise the pavement at the private drive on Chapin Street under the direetion of the Engineer. Also to put in sewer inlets at that point. Engineer requested to prepare specifications for the grading of South Lafayette street from Elmira Street to Ewing Avenue . Also the construction of cement curbing between the same points. Cofimunicat ion filed from the T.H. and L .Ry .Co . surrendering possession of part of the street occupied by them. Engineer authorized to have the pavement on Division Street laid to a 2 4P grade to intersect the established grade east and west at the L.S. & M.S.Ry.tracks and at the Indiana, Illinois & Iowa tracks. Assessment rolls and final estimates filed for the pipe sewer on Monroe St reet, the grading and curbing of -Fellows St ree t and the resurfacing of East Je ffe rs on Street ,under Improvement Be s oluti ons 61, 66 and 72 respectively. FESOLVED that notices as to amount of assessments be published in the South Bend Daily Tribune and in the South Bend :u. ily Time ;3 -,Or ix a ce ive nays beginning on the 20 day of August,1902 stating that this Board will give.a hearing as to -the amount of assessments on the 2nd .day of dept,1902 at 7:15 p.m. SOLVED further,that the entire work under the above contracts be accepted and ap- proved and the final estimates the re f or all owe d .Notice of this resolution shall be published in the South Bend Daily Tribune :and in the South Bend Daily Times on th e 20 day of August91902,stating that this Board will give a hearing as to the con- f i rmat ion of such estimates on the 2nd .day -of Sept,1902 at 7:15 P .M .
