October 15. 1901. 7:15 P. M. <br />Hearing on Vacation Resolution No. 6 adopted October 1st, 1901. No remonstrances <br />were filed and on remonstrators appeared against the proposed vacation. The Board there- <br />fore find that Vacati on Res oluti on No. 6, should be confirmed. The Board declare the fo11- <br />owing property vacated: Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 20 in Miller's Addition <br />to the City of South Bend, running thence north 6.45 feet, thence northwest with the pre- <br />sent north line of the alley 9.03 feet, thence due west t o the south line of'the present <br />alley, thence southeast along the south line of said alley to the place of beginning, <br />being a part of the alley lying between Lots 1 in Witherill's Addition to the City of <br />South Bend and Lot 20 in Millers Addition to the City of South Bend. -No assessments or <br />awards will be necessary in these proceedings. <br />Hearing on Condemnation Resolution No. 3, a4opted October 3, 1901. Lucretia <br />Creed remonstrated against the proposed appropriation of property. The Board however find <br />that condemnation Resolution No.3 should be confirmed. The Board declare the following <br />described property condemned: Beginning on the south line of Midwat street at a point <br />49-1/2 feet east of the northeast corner of Lot 1 in Creed's Second Addition to the City <br />of South Bend, thence east 49-1/2 feet, thence south 397 feei,thence west 49-1/2 feet, <br />thence north to the place of beginning. The Engineer presented the roll of property owners <br />affected by the above condemnation proceedings, the only owner of affected property being <br />Lucretia Creed. The Board find that the property of Lucretia Creed has been damaged to <br />the extent of $50.00 and therefore awards her that sum. Clerk -',.instructed to serve person- <br />al notice on Lucretia Creed which shall state that on Tuesday October 291 1901, at 7:15 <br />P. M. the Board would hear any remonstrance she might have as to the amount of her award. <br />Hearing on the assessment rolls and final estimates for thefollowing improve- <br />ments: the west Dater street brick pavement, under Improvement Resolution No. 14; the <br />cement curb and grading on College street under Improvement Resolution No. 13: the <br />cement curb and grading on Sibley Avenue, under Improvement Resolution N0.12; and the <br />cement walk, curb and grading on C street, under Improvement Resolution No. 23. No rem- <br />onstrators appeared or remonstrances were presented, except August and John, Charles, <br />Bertha and Ella Prast, who objected to the amount of their assessment for the West water <br />street brick pavement. The Board however find that the above assessments and final estirt-t <br />mates should be confirmed. Accordingly, the assessment rolls for the West Water street br <br />brick paving and College street cement burb and grading, filed on October lst, 1901, and <br />the final estimates, allowed on October 1st, 1901 are hereby confirmed: and the <br />
