September, 26. 1901. <br />E. <br />R. <br />Wills notified that <br />the board would be <br />pleased <br />to negotiate <br />a contract for <br />the purchase <br />of <br />the Campeau property <br />and the erection <br />of afire <br />station for <br />the City,: - <br />Further proceedings under Vacation Resolution No.4 for the vacation of part of <br />Saint Joseph Street having been dropped, and the Board being Of the opinion that such <br />vacation is unnecessary, it is accordingly ordered that the action taken by the Board on <br />July 6, 1901, at 7:15 P. M. be and hereby is recinded. <br />Assessment rolls and final estimates filed for the following improvements:, The <br />brick pavement on Navarre street from Michigan street to Portage Avenue, under Improve- <br />ment Resolution No. 11; ' The cement curb on Division street from Laurel street to Olive <br />Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 31; The cobble stone and curh on North Hill <br />street from Cedar street to South Bend Avenue, under Improvement Resolution No. 40•. <br />Resolved that notices as to the amount of assessments be published in the South Bend Daily <br />Tribune and in the South Bend Daily Times for six successive days beginning on the 27th <br />day of September 1901, stating that this Board will give a hearing as to the amount of <br />assessments at its office in the City Hall on the 8th day of October 1901 at 7:15 P. M. <br />Resolved further that the entire work under the contracts for the above"improvements <br />be accepted and approved and the final estimates therefor allowed. Notice of this res- <br />olution shall be published in the South Bend Daily Tribune and in the South Bend Daily <br />Times on the 27th day of September 1901, stating that this Board will give a hearing upon <br />such estimates at its office in the Cit; Hall on the 8th day of October 1901 at 7*15 P. M. <br />Clerk instructed to obtain the signatures of Christian Soens, and Mary E. <br />Barrett to a dedication of a strip of ground along the west bank of the Saint Joseph <br />river between Marion street and Leeper bridge for park and boulevard purposes, and for <br />the extension of Marion street to the river. <br />Permission granted to Robert, Hoban and Roach to use fire hydrants and hose for <br />flooding the north Michigan street fill near Leeper bridge. <br />President. <br />
