901. 7:15 P. M.
Hearing on the Francis street cement walk and curb under Improvement Resolution
No. 16. The f ollowin,-3 persons appeared and remonstrated against the acceptance of the
work and against the assessment roll: -William Turnock, Daniel Weiss, Caroline Rodifer,
Rose McCafferty, James Mccafferty, Helen McMichael, estate, George Bauerfeind, Warren
C. Dodge estate. No other remonstrators appeared. The Board find that a personal inspecti-
on by them is desirable and accordingly again postpone the confirmation of the assess-
ment roll and final estimate until Tuesday September 24th, 1901 at 7:15 .P. M.
Hearing on the assessment rolls and final estimates for the A and D street imp-
rovements under Improvement Resolutions No. 6 and 24 respectively. A remonstrance was fil-
ed against the A street assessment on the following ground, that the grade of A street was
such that water collected and flooded the street and sidewalks. The Engineer reported that
this condition was due to want of proper facilities for carrying off the *cater and that a
sewer on the street would solve the difficulty. The contractor is not responsible for the
above condition and the Board therefore find that the assessment rolls, filed on Sept-
ember 3rd, 1901, and the final estimates, allowed on September 3rd 1901, should be confir-
med.
President.
