R. to Olive street referred to the engineer for <br />specifications. <br />Assessment Roll for the north Taylor street asphalt pavement improvement filed. <br />Resolved that notices as to the amount of assessments be publ i s�--e d in the South Bend <br />Daily Tribune and in the South Bend Daily Times for six successive days beginning on the <br />14 day of dune 1901, stating that this board will give a hearing as to the amount of <br />assessments on the 25 day of June 1901, at 7:15 P.M. <br />Improvement Resolution No. 28. <br />Resolved by the board of public works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That <br />an improvement be made of the kind, size, location and terminal points as follows: The <br />construction of cement sidewalks and cement curbs on both sides of south Harris street <br />from the south line of Division street to near the north right of way line of the Grand, <br />Trunk and Western Railroad, corresponding to the north line of the second alley south of <br />Huron street. Said improvement shall be known and designated as " Harris Street Cement,"' <br />and shall be constructed according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City <br />Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of this resolution and proposals for bids for the <br />execution of the above work shall be published on the 14 day of June and on the 21 day <br />of June 1901, in the South Bend Daily Tribune and in the South Bend Daily Times. This <br />Board will give a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City Hall on the 2 <br />day of July 1901, at 7:15 P.H. and will receive bids up to 10 A.H. on the 9 day of July, <br />1901. <br />Engineer reported grade of south Harris street from Division street to the right <br />of way of the Grand Trunk and Western R. R. Same approved and filed. <br />Contract for the Eddy street sewer from East Washington street to a point 100 <br />feet south of the south line of East Colfax Avenue, under Improvement Resolution No.20, <br />awarded to Robert, Hoban and Roach. <br />Contract for cement sidewalk on Crescent Avenue, under Improvement Resolution <br />No. 22, awarded to R. Z. Snell, at .08 1/4 cts, per square foot. <br />Contract for grading and curbing Howard Avenue under Improvement Resolution No. <br />21, awarded to Frank Jackson, at .14 3/4 cts, for grading and 16 3/4 cts, for curbing. <br />
