The concern you may have here is that the actual
bid is close to the estimated cost. Please be advised that we
have very few houses in this contract which require only spot
repair S. Spot repairs are very hard to arrive at an actual
estimate price, rather than a full house rehabilitation; hence
the reason for the difference in the bid and the estimated cost.
Mr. C' a made a motion to approve General Construction contract
(Contract Set #SE /02B) to Charles Brown Maintenance Co., Inc., in
the amount of $5,871.00, seconded by Mr. Donaldson, and the motion
was unmimously carried.
c. Commission approval requested for Change Order #1 Plaia Construction
Co., f r a decrease in contract price of $375.00, for an amended
contract total of 255.00 at the address of 31d S. Meade Street,
as set forth in letter from Mr. James Harcus Director Bureau
of Ho inp.
Mr. H cus: It is the Bureau's practice to make a final review
of accounts prior to authorizing commencement of rehabilitation
contracts. During such review it was observed that 318 S. Meade
had received some service during 1976 under Emergency Repair Project.
That prior service, coupled with present contract, exceed guideline
limits by $375.00. The Redevelopment Commission is requested to
approv Change Order #1 for Plaia Construction Co., deleting from
contra t minor items in the value of $375.00.
-7-
GENERAL CON -
STRUCTION CON-
TRACT SET #SE/
02B AWARDED TO
CHARLES BROWN
MAINTENANCE CO.
CHANGE ORDER
#1 APPROVED
FOR PLAIA
CONSTRUCTION
COMPANY, INC.
