Chicago St. <br />outh Bend, IN 46619 $8,450.00 18 /SOU- 1/36/1 -78 <br />Mr. rownell: I might mention to the Commission that the $23,500 loan is <br />for $16,000 existing mortgage and the balance is for the work. <br />Moti n was made by Mr. Donaldson, seconded by Mr. Wiggins and carried for <br />the �pproval of the above 312 loan applications. <br />am <br />ommission approval requested for relocation assistance contract with <br />. M. Dix Associates, Inc., as proposed, for a not -to- exceed amount <br />f 6,000, Downtown Project Indiana R -66. <br />r. Brownell: In view of the fact that we do not have relocation <br />taff we have been using S. M. Dix to do the appraisals and it has <br />een proposed by them now that they can do the work of explaining to <br />hese people in the relocation area, their rights, alternatives, etc. <br />nd this would take the place of the staff we normally have. <br />Mr. Nimtz: The gentleman I met the other day was from S. M. Dix? <br />Mr. rownell: Yes, he has met with Mr. Butler and talked also to all the <br />tena is downtown, he has had very good contacts with them. <br />Moti n was made by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Donaldson and carried for <br />the pproval of relocation assistance contract with S. M. Dix Associates, <br />Inc. as proposed, for a not -to- exceed amount of $6,000. <br />7. PROGRESS REPORTS <br />Mr, rownell: Kevin, we had approval by the Commission of the real estate <br />appraisals - we had approval this morning of the fixture appraisals and I <br />have in mind that we send the proclaimer to HUD with the two separate <br />appr vals in one, will that be all right? <br />Mr. Butler: Yes. <br />Mr. rownell: I received word from the Telephone Company this morning by <br />Lett r that they will accept our proposal to settle their claim. It is <br />a matter of $13,000 less than they were claiming. <br />Chai�: They will take our figures as recommended by Dix? <br />Mr. rownell: Yes, and I got word from the attorney at the Telephone Company <br />this morning that they will accept it. <br />
