Letter dated May 17, 1978, from Thomas A. Oesterling, of Clyde E. <br />Williams & Associates, Inc., re: Inspection of Urban Renewal Project <br />Indiana R -66, Phase III Contract #5, as part of Contract 3 year <br />guarantee against defective material or workmanship. Hickey letter <br />dated May 5, 1978. <br />Mr. Brownell read this letter and Mr. Wiggins inquired if it was <br />necessary - in compliance with this letter - to make a formal motion <br />to release Clyde E. Williams from any future obligation. <br />Mr. Butler replied that such a motion should be made if that is <br />indeed the desire of the Commission (to release the Hickey Co. from <br />the 3 year guarantee). <br />Mr. Brownell recommended that such a motion be made. <br />Mr. Wiggins then moved that the Hickey Company be released from their <br />3 year guarantee against defective material and workmanship concerning <br />Indiana R -66, Phase III, Contract #5 - motion was seconded by Mr. <br />Donaldson and carried. <br />5. OLD BUSINESS <br />a. Commission approval is requested for the following contract awards for <br />General Construction, Electrical Construction and Plumbing Construc- <br />tion, Contract Set #04A. This is a re -bid of Contract Set #04 since <br />there was a discussion and recommendation at the regular meeting of <br />April 20, 1978 to table these bids until a subsequent meeting. <br />Contract Set 04A Jurtin's Construction $21,723.00 <br />to F & F Electric Company 4,810.00 <br />" to R. A. Stickler Plumbing 2,463.00 <br />Mr. Wiggins: Have the problems that arose in the last meeting (in <br />regard to these contract bids) been resolved? <br />Mr. Brownell: We are in compliance with the letter we received from HUD <br />as I understand it. <br />Mr. Harcus: Correct sir. <br />Mr. Wiggins: Then we have no jeopardy here in terms of liability for <br />non - compliance? OK. <br />Mr. Donaldson moved for approval of contract awards as set forth <br />above, seconded by Mr. Wiggins and carried. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />a <br />Commission approval requested for Change Order No. 1 to Northwest <br />Contract Set No. 6 awarded to Charles Brown Maintenance Co., Inc., <br />-3- <br />
