COMMISSIONER'S REGULAR MEETING <br />Friday, arch 17, 1978 <br />FLOOD DISCUSSIONS <br />(Questions asked of Mr. Brademas regarding his proposal): <br />Mr. an Caesar: Any idea what the land is going to cost? <br />Mr. Blrademas: I do not. <br />Mr. an Caesar: Does the Commission have any idea what the land might <br />cosA <br />Mr. Wiggins: No. <br />Mr. Dan Caesar: Has an appraisal of the land been made? <br />Mr. Brownell: No, an appraisal has not been made. <br />Mr. Dan Caesar: Kevin, the appeal that is pending.... <br />Mr. imtz: Please direct your questions to Mr. Chapleau. <br />Mr. Can Caesar: The appeal that is pending... in your opinion, would it <br />delay construction of Century Mall? <br />Mr. hapleau: Do you mean the appeal itself? <br />Mr. dan Caesar: Yes. <br />Mr. hapleau: It depends on how fast they would act to set up a hearing and <br />then decide the case. I can't tell you .......... I don't know what they are <br />going to do. I would say, that with the plans, that I am proposing to use <br />for handling this thing, we intend to get a quick hearing. We intend to get <br />this quick hearing as soon as they file their transcript, which is due pretty <br />soon. <br />Mr. imtz: Any further questions or discussions? <br />Ms. leanne Derbeck: Then, your project only goes up to Allen's alley... right? <br />Mr. grademas: That is correct. <br />Ms. Jeanne Derbeck: Or would they be North of Allen's alley? <br />Mr. rademas: Well, we had hoped that what we would propose would have a very <br />beneficial effect, and suggest a more intensive use of the other land or <br />buil ings in the adjacent area, and I think that it would. <br />-17- <br />
