The lamp-post is of the Park View design as manufactured by the George Cutter
Company of South Bend. The George Cutter Co. was moved to South Bend from
Chicago in 1905 [3] . Cutter resided at 916 Riverside Drive and is buried in a
mausoleum at Highland Cemetery [3] . Cutter outdoor lighting fixtures were
distributed throughout the world by Westinghouse [4] . Westinghouse eventually
acquired ownership of the George Cutter Company.
David B.
