Page 6 <br /> SECTION 3: <br /> That Article 7, Mechanical Code, by amended as follows: <br /> All references to "he" or "his" in this chapter be amended to read <br /> "he/she" and "his/her" . <br /> That Section 6-36. 2(a) be amended as follows: <br /> Sec. 6-36.2. Heating, air conditioning and ventilating licenses. <br /> (a) Required. No person shall perform or cause to be performed <br /> within the City any installation, maintenance, alteration or repair of <br /> any heating, air conditioning or ventilating equipment or system <br /> Building Department . <br /> without obtaining, in advance, a license from the Controller:. <br /> That Section 6-36. 2(b) (6) be amended as follows <br /> (6) Payment of a fifty-dollar ($50 .00) examination fee. <br /> f6i--Payment-of-a-forty-dollar-($46700)-examination-fee7 <br /> That Section 6-36. 2(c) and 6.36. 2(d) be amended as follows : <br /> (c) Examination. To qualify for a new license, an applicant must <br /> pass a written examination given by the Board or a professional <br /> earn-a-score-of-not-less-than-seventy-five-05i-percent-correct-on-a <br /> testing company or organization. <br /> written-examination-given-by-the-Board.- The examination shall consist <br /> of not less than twenty-five (25) questions testing the applicant 's <br /> knowledge of the mechanical requirements for the installation, <br /> maintenance, alteration or repair of heating, air conditioning and <br /> ventilating equipment and systems as specified in the Indiana <br /> Mechanical Code. The Department shall keep a complete record of each <br /> examination for three (3) years after the date of the examination. An <br /> applicant who fails to pass an examination may be reexamined upon <br /> submitting a new application in compliance with this article. An <br /> applicant who passes the examination shall not be required to retake <br /> the examination to obtain a license renewal , if he meets the renewal <br /> requirements of subsection (g) (2) below. <br /> (d) Surety bond. Each applicant for a Class A license must also <br /> provide a surety bond, payable to the City in the penal sum of five <br /> thousand dollars ($5,000 .00) , subject-to-the-approval-of-the <br /> Controller and conditioned upon faithful compliance with the <br /> provisions of the building code as it pertains to the regulation of <br /> heating, air conditioning and ventilating work and apparatus and <br /> agreeing to pay all damages, costs and expenses caused by the <br /> negligence of the licensee through failure to comply with such <br /> provisions. <br /> That Section 36. 2(e) (1) and Section 36. 2(e) (2) be amended as follows : <br /> (e) Issuance of certificate: <br /> (1) The Board shall examine the application, the <br />
