South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br /> Regular Meeting—September 13, 2012 <br /> Mr. Alford and unanimously carried, the OF AN ADDENDUM TO THE MASTER AGENCY <br /> Commission approved Resolution No. 3072 AGREEMENT WITH THE BOARD OF PUBLIC <br /> approving and authorizing the execution of WORKS(IRELAND ROAD RIGHT OF WAY <br /> an Addendum to the Master Agency ACQUISITION SERVICES. <br /> Agreement with the Board of Public Works <br /> (Ireland Road Right of Way Acquisition <br /> Services). <br /> G. Northeast Neighborhood Development Area <br /> There was no business in the Northeast THERE WAS NO BUSINESS IN THE NORTHEAST <br /> Neighborhood Development Area. NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT AREA. <br /> H. Douglas Road Economic Development Area <br /> There was no business in the Douglas Road THERE WAS NO BUSINESS IN THE DOUGLAS <br /> Economic Development Area. ROAD ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA. <br /> L Ratification of Services Contracts <br /> Upon a motion by Mr. Downes seconded by Mr. COMMISSION APPROVED THE RATIFICATION OF <br /> Varner and unanimously carried, the Commission SERVICES CONTRACTS <br /> ratified the services contract with Lang, Feeney & <br /> Associates for a replat of Lot 1, Bosch Minor <br /> Subdivision at a cost of$2,475. <br /> 7. PROGRESS REPORTS <br /> A. Tax Abatement <br /> Mr. Inks suggested to the Commission the <br /> idea of removing the Commission from the <br /> list of entities that need to approve tax <br /> abatements. The Indiana state law changed a <br /> year or so ago. Previously, any tax <br /> abatement in a TIF area had to go through the <br /> Redevelopment Commission for approval. <br /> That is no longer required and it would <br /> shorten the tax abatement process by two <br /> weeks to make that change. Staff would <br /> continue to keep the Commission informed <br /> of abatements that go before the Council, but <br /> 44 <br />
