The South Bend Redevelopment Trustees met on Friday <br />D cember 3rd, 1976, for the purpose of appointing the Redevelopment <br />C mmissioners and I am pleased to announce that we unanimously re- <br />a pointed the present Commissioners, F. Jay Nimtz, Don Wiggins, A. <br />P ter Donaldson, Robert Cira and Lloyd Robinson, for the year 1977. <br />I want to congratulate them on their re- appointments." <br />Mr. Nimtz thanked Mr. Morrison and said he presumed the salaries remain <br />the same as for the present year. He indicated his appreciation and <br />that of the other Commissioners for the honor and assured him they <br />will all continue to try to do their best with the charge that was <br />given them. <br />At this point, Mr. Cira arrived at 10:07 A.M. <br />When the Commissioners were asked for comments, Mr. Wiggins told the <br />story Abe Lincoln used to tell about the guy who was ridden out of <br />town on a rail after being tarred and feathered and when asked what <br />he thought of the whole thing, said: "I think if it wasn't for the <br />honor I would have rather walked ". <br />M�. Brownell announced that the swearing in would come at the first <br />m eting in January. <br />Chair stated that by statute the next commission meeting will be <br />sday, January 4, 1977 at 10 a.m., which is the annual organization <br />ting of the Commissioners. <br />M . Wiggins then asked if it would be appropriate to make a motion that <br />WE conduct out regular order of business in a meeting following the <br />o ganizational meeting so that we may accomplish both on the same day. <br />T e Chair indicated it would be appropriate and Mr. Wiggins so moved. <br />..that the regular meeting of January 7, 1977 be moved to January 4, <br />i mediately following the annual Re- organizational meeting of the <br />C mmissioners. The motion was seconded by Mr. Cira and carried. <br />5. CORRESPONDENCE <br />a. Letter dated December 7, 1976 from Patrick, Anderson and McDonald, <br />Attorneys at Law, re Columbus Wood Preserving Company vs Nautilus <br />Construction Company Claim of Sub - Contractor Materialman: C.
