ORDINANCE NO. S S()'5 <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ONE MILLION THREE HUNDRED <br /> FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,350, 000) FROM THE CASH <br /> RESERVES OF THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CIVIL CITY OF <br /> SOUTH BEND, INDIANA FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING <br /> A PROGRAM OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN THE <br /> CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> The government of the City of South Bend, in partnership <br /> with the City' s private sector and residents, is committed to the <br /> goal of improving the "quality of life" in the City, its <br /> neighborhoods, and for its residents . As part of this commitment <br /> to a comprehensive community development and improvement program, <br /> the City of South Bend has committed One Million Three Hundred <br /> Fifty Thousand Dollars ($1, 350, 000) from the General Fund' s cash <br /> reserves to fund public improvements . Two Hundred Fifty Thousand <br /> Dollars ($250, 000) of the Nine Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars <br /> ($950, 000) allocated for Neighborhood and Public Works will be <br /> reimbursed to the City by those property owners participating in <br /> the program. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SOUTH BEND AS FOLLOWS : <br /> Section I . The sum of One Million Three Hundred Fifty <br /> Thousand Dollars ($1, 350, 000) shall be and hereby is appropriated <br /> for use in 1995 from the General Fund' s cash reserves, to Account <br /> No . 101-0401-415-42 . 07, and allocated for the indicated projects : <br /> Project Amount <br /> 1 . NRTS (Non-CD Neighborhood) $ 15, 000 . 00 <br /> Assistance <br /> 11 . HCI Comprehensive Plan Project $ 25, 000 . 00 <br /> 12 . Mayor' s Neighborhood Planning Forum $ 15, 000 . 00 <br /> 13 .
