PRECAUTIONARY• -• <br />Personal Protective Equipment <br />WPS Uses: <br />Applicators, mixers, loaders, and other handlers who handle this pesticide for any use <br />covered by the Worker Protection Standard (40 CFR part 170) - in general, agricultural - <br />plant uses are covered - must wear: <br />• Long-sleeved shirt and long pants <br />• Shoes plus socks <br />Follow manufacturer's instructions for cleaning/maintaining PPE. If no such instructions <br />for washables exist, use detergent and hot water. Keep and wash PPE separately from <br />other laundry. <br />Engineering Control Statements <br />When handlers use closed systems or enclosed cabs in a manner that meets the require- <br />ments listed in the Worker Protection Standard (WPS) for agricultural pesticides [40 <br />CFR 170.240 (d)(4-6)j, the handler PPE requirements may be reduced or modified as <br />specified in the WPS. <br />IMPORTANT. When reduced PPE is worn because a closed system is being used, handlers <br />must be provided with all of the PPE specified above for applicators and other handlers, <br />and have such PPE immediately available for use in an emergency, such as a spill or <br />equipment breakdown. <br />User Safety Recommendations <br />Users should: <br />• Wash hands before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or using the <br />toilet. <br />• Remove clothing immediately if pesticide gets inside. Then wash thoroughly and <br />put on clean clothing. <br />• After handling this product immediately remove PPE, wash yourself thoroughly <br />and change into clean clothing. <br />Environmental Hazards <br />This product has low solubility in water. At the limit of solubility, this product is not <br />toxic to fish. However, at concentrations substantially above the level of water solubility, <br />it may be toxic to fish. Do not apply directly to water, to areas where surface water is <br />present, or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark. Drift and runoff from <br />treated areas may be hazardous to aquatic organisms in adjacent sites. Do not contami- <br />nate water when disposing of equipment wash water or rinsate. <br />
