PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS <br />HAZARDS TO HUMANS AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS <br />Warning. May be fatal if swallowed. Harmful if absorbed through the skin. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Prolonged <br />or frequently repeated skin contact may cause allergic reactions in some individuals. Wash thoroughly with soap and water <br />after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or using the toilet. Remove and wash contaminated <br />clothing before reuse. <br />PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) <br />Applicators and other handlers must wear: <br />• Long-sleeved shirt and long pants <br />• Shoes plus socks <br />• Chemical -resistant gloves made of any waterproof material such as barrier laminate, butyl rubber >_ 14 mils, nitrile rubber >_ <br />14 mils, neoprene rubber >_ 14 mils, polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) >_ 14 mils, or viton >_ 14 mils <br />USER SAFETY REQUIREMENTS <br />Follow the manufacturer's instructions for cleaning/maintaining PPE. If no such instructions for washables exist, use detergent <br />and hot water. Keep and wash PPE separately from other laundry. <br />ENGINEERING CONTROLS <br />When handlers use closed systems, enclosed cabs, or aircraft in a manner that meets the requirements listed in the Worker <br />Protection Standard (WPS) for agricultural pesticides [40 CFR 170.240(d)(4-6)], the handler PPE requirements may be reduced <br />or modified as specified in the WPS. <br />USER SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS <br />Users should: <br />• Remove clothing/PPE immediately if pesticide gets inside. Then wash thoroughly and put on clean clothing. <br />• Remove PPE immediately after handling this product. Wash the outside of gloves before removing. As soon as possible, <br />wash thoroughly and change into clean clothing. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS <br />Azoxystrobin is toxic to freshwater and estuarine/marine fish and aquatic invertebrates. Azoxystrobin can be persistent for <br />several months or longer. <br />Do not discharge effluent containing this product into lakes, streams, ponds, estuaries, oceans or other waters unless in <br />accordance with the requirements of a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit and the permitting <br />authority has been notified in writing prior to discharge. Do not discharge effluent containing this product to sewer systems <br />without previously notifying the local sewage treatment plant authority. For guidance, contact your State Water Board or re- <br />gional office of the EPA. <br />For terrestrial uses: Do not apply directly to water, or to areas where surface water is present, or to intertidal areas below the <br />mean high water mark. Drift and runoff may be hazardous to aquatic organisms in water adjacent to treated areas. Do not <br />contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwater or rinsate. <br />2 <br />
