Cleveland C. Cleary
52773 Ash Rd.
Granger, In 46530
Supporting Documentation for APSA-80 vs. Hydro -Pak Command:
The point of surfactants, regardless of formulation, is to lower the surface
tension. APSA-80 takes the surface tension down quickly to just over 30 dynes at
30.8 ppm, or about 1 oz. in 100 gallons of water. Hydro -Pak also lists the flushing
of salts, which I do not think is indicated in this area; California is, though, for
sure.
For approaches, tees and greens on golf courses or other heavily trafficked turf,
we recommend 1 oz. per 1000 sq ft every month at a cost of $0.47. For active dry
spot we recommend 2.5 oz. per 1000 sq ft at a cost of $1.18. For fairways, rough,
and other areas we want to keep greener longer we recommend 15 oz. per acre
per month at a cost of $7.05. If it is possible to get it on while the turf is still
dormant in the spring, we recommend starting with a double dose, then regular
doses monthly.
Following is the Hydro -Pak Command Label showing the application rates; the
concentration chart and subsequent surface tension for APSA-80; and a quad fold
brochure, the APSA-80 for turf is listed on the last fold.
