Cleveland C. Cleary
52773 Ash Rd.
Granger, In 46530
Supporting Documentation for APSA-80 vs. Aqueduct Soil Surfactant:
The point of surfactants is to lower the surface tension. APSA-80 takes the
surface tension down quickly to just over 30 dynes at 30.8 ppm, or about 1 oz. in
100 gallons of water.
For approaches, tees and greens on golf courses or other heavily trafficked turf,
we recommend 1 oz. per 1000 sq ft every month at a cost of $0.43. For active dry
spot we recommend 2.5 oz. per 1000 sq ft at a cost of $1.08. For fairways, rough,
and other areas we want to keep greener longer we recommend 15 oz. per acre
per month at a cost of $6.45. If it is possible to get it on while the turf is still
dormant in the spring, we recommend starting with a double dose, then regular
doses monthly.
The only price I found for comparison for Aqueduct was $260 for a 2.5 gallon jug,
so the per oz. price is $0.81 and they recommend 4-8 oz. per month, so at a
minimum $3.20 per month.
Following is the Aqueduct Soil Surfactant brief; the concentration chart and
subsequent surface tension for APSA-80; and a quad fold brochure, the APSA-80
for turf is listed on the last fold.
+ 7fP514--90 .-.-Sa SA' e,,Pt
