Brooks Brademas, Madison Center, Inc. and John Friedline to zone from "D" Light Industrial, "F" Height and Area to "A-3" Mixed Use Multifamily Residential and Commercial District, "G" Height and Area, property located at 712 North Niles Avenue; the south half of vacated Hagerty Street between Niles Avenue and the St. Joseph River; and Lots 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 as shown on the recorded Plat of Alexis Coquillard's First Addition to the City of South Bend, Indiana, City of South Bend - APC #1643-94 Dear Council Members: The above referenced ordinance initiated by the Area Plan Commission was legally advertised on December 8, 1994. The Area Plan Commission at its public hearing on January 17, 1995, took the following action: Upon a motion by Joseph Serge, being seconded by George Hill and unanimously carried, the proposed ordinance and site development plan of T. Brooks Brademas, Madison Center, Inc. and John Friedline to zone from "D" Light Industrial, "F" Height and Area to "A-3" Mixed Use Multifamily Residential and Commercial District, "G" Height and Area, property located at 712 North Niles Avenue; the south half of vacated Hagerty Street between Niles Avenue and the St. Joseph River; and Lots 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 as shown on the recorded Plat of Alexis Coquillard's First Addition to the City of South Bend, Indiana, City of South Bend is sent to the Common Council with a favorable recommendation, subject to a final site development plan. The propose' use would be an expansion of the existing hospital facilities and would be in keeping with the development plans for the East Bank area. The deliberations of the Area Plan Commission and points considered in arriving at the above decision are shown in the minutes of the public hearmg, and will be forwarded to you at a later date to be made a part of this report. Attached, for your consideration in the review of this matter, is a copy of the Area Plan Commission's Staff Report.
