Mr. James L. Johnson, Jr., Chief Inspector, advised the speci-
fications called for covering the entire structure with 3 -in -1
seal-down asphalt shingles, and install metal edging, including
porches. The basement entrance door was conformed. While in
the process of inspecting the roof, they ran into a lack of
s eathing on the rear porch - -70 square feet- -that should be
r placed with new shingles. Also, the rear basement door since
tie inspection has deteriorated, so we are asking the Commission
f r a change order for the basement door, (exterior door, frame,
j mb, threshold, lite or peephole, cylindrical lockset, weather-
s ripping, and paint or stain and varnish two coats, using poly
-
u ethane varnish. Install an aluminum storm combination door),
a d sheathing for the rear porch.
C mmissioner Robinson asked if this is under our new policy or
if it is still existing under our old policy, between inspection
aid the actual beginning of work- -about a year or so? Mr. Crighton
a vised it is under the new policy. Mr. Johnson added it was a
r cent inspection.
