�1 <br />i <br />ATTACHMENT "B" <br />Wh lesaling without stock - typically, this group functions in effect <br />to bypass merchant wholesalers. They include manufacturer's own <br />ou lets or wholesale agents and brokers who act as middlemen. Such <br />es ablishments require only display and office space. They do not <br />ha dle or acquire title I to goods but only arrange sales between <br />pr; ducers and retailers or wholesale merchants. <br />Pr vate services these establishments are oriented to individuals <br />and to specific firms and agencies. Among such services are those <br />or ented to business firms (machines, blueprinting, advertising, etc.); <br />repair of goods; personal and professional services; and commercial- <br />recreational establishments. <br />c. Public and Semipublic - This category is intended for Federal, State, <br />County and City office buildings and facilities, and semipublic <br />fa ili.ties and .utilities which are relatively open to the public <br />although such uses may be either privately or publicly owned. <br />Th se latter public uses can be termed public services and are pri- <br />marily oriented to groups of people or to places where people assemble <br />into groups. Among such services are: (1) education (public, private <br />and commercial schools, libraries, 'art centers and museums), (2 <br />health and welfare (medical and social clinics, hospitals), (3) <br />passive recreational facilities (as opposed to active, individual <br />participation) such as auditoriums, theaters, exhibition h-alls, (4) <br />religious and social (church, lodge halls, fraternal organization), <br />a d (5) protective (fire stations, police stations, courts and so <br />forth). <br />d.
