Ordinance No. q6I)--- <br /> AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE MAXIMUM SALARIES AND WAGES OF <br /> TEAMSTER EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,INDIANA, <br /> FOR THE CALENDAR YEARS 1996, 1997,AND 1998. <br /> Statement of Purpose and Intent <br /> This Ordinance sets forth the monetary aspects of the tentative agreement reached between the <br /> City Negotiating Team and the Teamster's Negotiating Team on Friday,August 4,1995,which was later <br /> ratified on August 7, 1995 by the members of Teamster Local Union No. 364. <br /> This Ordinance would approve the monetary amounts of the ratified wage and benefit package, <br /> which are believed to be in the best interest of the City. Accordingly,the intent of this Ordinance is to <br /> fix the maximum salaries and wages for all City employees represented by the International Brotherhood <br /> of Teamsters of America,Local Union No. 364, for calendar years 1996, 1997,and 1998. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br /> BEND,INDIANA,as follows: <br /> Section I. Scope of Coverage <br /> This Ordinance shall determine all issues of compensation for all employees for the City of South Bend, <br /> Indiana,represented by Teamsters Local Union No. 364 affiliated with the International Brotherhood of <br /> Teamsters of America, hereinafter referred to as the "Teamster Local Union No. 364", in the following <br /> operational units: <br /> Bureau of Building Maintenance <br /> Bureau of Organic Resources <br /> Bureau of Sewers <br /> Bureau of Solid Waste <br /> Bureau of Streets <br /> Bureau of Traffic and Lighting <br /> Bureau of Waste Water <br /> Bureau of Water Works <br /> Century Center <br /> Department of Parks and Recreation <br /> Division of Equipment Services <br /> Police Department <br /> Section IL Maximum Compensation. <br /> A. For calendar years 1996,1997,and 1998,the maximum base salaries and wages for the following <br /> employees represented by Teamster Local Union No.364 of the City of South Bend,Indiana,shall be no <br /> more than as listed in this Section;provided,however,that nothing herein shall exclude the applicability <br /> of Section III of this Ordinance should the qualifications therein be met. <br />
