lir i <br /> ORDINANCE NO. ! /S <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, APPROPRIATING <br /> $240, 000.00 FROM THE PARK MAINTENANCE FUND <br /> (FUND NO. 201) <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> The City of South Bend has been awarded a federal grant for <br /> extension of the riverwalk system, east of the old Sample Street <br /> bridge. A condition of the receipt of the federal funds is a <br /> contribution of local funds . The Common Council has determined <br /> that it is in the best interests of the City to appropriate <br /> $240, 000 . 00 from the Park Maintenance Fund to satisfy this <br /> condition and to fund a portion of the construction costs and to <br /> fund the design costs of this project . <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section I .
